Amazing place for Spanish tapas, good wine and sometimes live music

What an excellent spot! Popped in for lunch (thanks for the recommendation Chus!) and encountered a lovely atmosphere and top-notch food. That might have been the best tortilla I've had yet, and the croquetas de jamon were right up there. And the service was sweet and very tolerant of our limited Spanish. Don't miss this place if you're in town!

Located in the heart of Oviedo, Casa Pachu is a captivating haven for lovers of authentic Spanish tapas and vibrant atmospheres. Nestled on C. Alfonso III el Magno, this restaurant effortlessly blends tradition with a fresh, inviting vibe that makes every visit memorable.

The menu is a delightful tapestry of classic and inventive dishes. Highlights include the Tosta de Jamón and Tabla de Embutidos, showcasing a rich selection of cured meats that melt on the palate. The Tortilla de Setas Patatas y Jamón and Tortilla de Otoño reveal Casa Pachu’s mastery of this beloved Spanish staple, each slice bursting with earthy mushrooms, smoky ham, and autumnal flavors that linger long after the last bite. The Rabas offer perfectly fried, tender squid rings, while the Croquetas de Jamón impress with their creamy interior and crispy exterior, an essential tapa to savor with a cold Cerveza Tostada or a glass of crisp Vino de Rueda.

For those drawn to unique culinary experiences, the Paté de Oricios y de Centollo provides a luxurious taste of Asturias’ coastal bounty. Coupled with a well-crafted Gintonic or a refreshing Vermut Solera, it elevates the dining moment to something truly special.

Beyond the food, Casa Pachu’s atmosphere is a highlight in itself. The carefully chosen music and quirky, warm decor create an ambiance that feels both lively and cozy. Patrons often comment on the attentive, friendly service, which welcomes locals and visitors alike, even when language barriers arise. Live music nights add an extra layer of charm, making it a perfect spot to linger over drinks and tapas with friends or family.
